Sanofi Australia & New Zealand

We are an innovative global healthcare company, driven by one purpose: we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

We are one of Australia's top medicines and vaccines companies. Established in Australia in 1980, with a global heritage that spans 100 years, we invest in the health of Australians by pioneering science and medicine across therapeutic areas including immunology, vaccine preventable diseases, diabetes, rare diseases and more.

Our local team of almost 700 people, including scientists, researchers, and medical experts, pursues progress and discovers extraordinary at work each day.

In 2023 we were named AFR BOSS Best Place to Work in Health.

Your Health

We chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. But we can’t do it alone. We work closely with healthcare professionals, patient groups, governments and the business community so we can have the biggest impact.

Our vaccines are designed to protect population health, and our medicines treat a broad range of diseases.

The breadth and depth of our science means that we have more than 50 medicines on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, seven rare disease therapies on the Life Saving Drugs Program, 17 vaccines in Australia with eight on the National Immunisation Program, and two products listed with the National Blood Authority.

Our Science

We’re determined to find answers for patients, and to develop medicines and vaccines with the potential to improve people’s lives. We focus, and we push our limits. Because when we work together we can grow, take smart risks, learn from failure, and discover the extraordinary. That’s how we turn the impossible into possible. And it’s how we will help make life better for people everywhere.

Sanofi is investing in Australia’s medical ecosystem. We currently invest around $20 million in Australian clinical trials every year across a wide range of therapeutic areas from Oncology to Rare Diseases, Rare Blood Disorders, Neurology and more.

Since 2022 we have operated the Translational Science Hub in Queensland, a $280 million partnership between Sanofi, the Queensland Government, Griffith University, and the University of Queensland.

Social Impact

We are empowered by our legacy of knowledge, experience, ambition and diversity. But, we never settle and understand that participation and collaboration help people live healthier lives.

We listen and have ongoing dialogue with a wide range of independent patient, healthcare, business and community-minded organisations allowing us to learn from the experience of others and support their priorities.

And, we're All In. Sanofians are committed to building a culture where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed and included when they come to work.
