During the recruitment process we work to balance rigour with speed in assessing your fit to both our company and the roles on offer. The selection process will include interviews and reference checking and may also include telephone interviews, psychometric assessment, and validated work simulations or role-plays. The content of each selection process will be tailored to assess the competencies required for each role.

What will happen to my resume once it has been submitted?

Once you have completed an application your details along with your CV will be recorded in our applicant tracking system. You will hear from us by phone or email with an outcome of your application. Resumes are kept on file so we can keep in touch with you for future roles.

Will you confirm that you have received my resume?

You will receive a pop up notification indicating that you have successfully submitted your application.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes, just sign into your account, then search for a role that interests you. Don't forget to choose positions that match your skills, experience and career ambitions.

Do I have to be a permanent resident or citizen to work with Sanofi?

If you are not a permanent resident or citizen of Australia or New Zealand, you will need to provide proof of your working rights (a clear colour copy of the photo page of your passport and visa documents). If you are successful through the interview process, we will consider you for opportunities that are in line with the working conditions on your visa.

Sponsorship may be available for some roles in line with government regulations.

How does the hiring process work?

At Sanofi we understand that the recruitment and selection process is a two-way relationship, we want to give you insight into the Sanofi culture and share as much as possible about our purpose and values. The selection process will generally include a phone screening, two face to face interviews, psychometric assessment and reference checking. The content of each selection process will be tailored to assess the competencies required for each role.

How long will the recruitment process take before a decision is made?

The time the recruitment process takes can vary from one position to the next. We will try to keep you as informed as possible at all stages of the process. Generally it can take 3-4 weeks if we take into consideration the time it takes to advertise, interview and complete all administrative tasks including reference checks.

How can I prepare for my interview?

The questions we ask in interviews will be specific to the position you have applied for. Be prepared for questions which ask you to explain your functional/technical skills, along with motivation for the role.

We also use competency based interviewing questions where you will be asked to provide examples of how you have demonstrated competencies in your previous roles. When answering these questions make sure you talk about a specific situation. Start by describing the task that you needed to complete, explain the action you took step-by-step, and then tell us the result or outcome of that situation.

What happens after the interview?

Whether you are successful or not, you will receive honest feedback as quickly as possible from a member of the Talent Acquisition team.

Will I be expected to provide referees?

Yes, as part of the selection process you will be asked to provide at least two referees who the recruitment team can contact by phone or secure online process. It's preferable these referees currently are, or have recently been, your direct manager/supervisor. References will only be conducted by our Talent Acquisition team once you have given permission for your nominated referees to be contacted.

What is expected of me during an interview?

At Sanofi we use competency based interviewing and it helps us to understand how an individual operates within the workplace and whether that matches our culture. It is based on the principal that past behavior will predict future behavior.

To answer effectively we recommend you follow the STAR response format

  •  SITUATION - describe the situation you were in, be specific
  • TASK - describe the task you needed to accomplish
  • ACTION - describe the action YOU took
  • RESULT - what happened? what was the result? What did you learn?
